Current Litter

All 7 puppies were born in the early morning hours of Nov. 26. This is Ziggy’s 2nd litter and she has been a great mom from the start, looking after all puppies right away. She rarely leaves them, just a quick washroom break or to eat is all the time she is willing to be away. Even a very short walk ends with her running home to get back to the pups!

All of the pups stared out at pretty much the same weight - just over or under 1lb each. They have all been gaining about 100grams per day and spend their days eating and sleeping. We weight them once a day to ensure they are growing well… and they are!

It can be hard to know each little “potatoe” at first, so each was marked with their own colour right away. They now have little colour collars with the colours matched to their “names”. This litter is using fruits & veggies for names: Sprout (green), Pineapple (yellow), Concord (blue), Carrot (orange), Apple (red), Cabbage (purple) and Coconut (white). Coconut is our only female in this litter!
